Driving Games

Postby DippyDolittle on Wed Feb 25, 2009 9:17 pm

So with a pressure for me now get PGR4  I have just had my change my rental list to get it next.

But low and behold, Need for Speed Undercover arrives! Dam it.

So I know I need to send this back before I start playing it, as I will only get wrapped up in it, start pimping my rides etc... but I probably wont.

So what other racers should I put on the list for me to get after PGR4?

Played Pure, Grid, Forza 2.

Does Burnout Paradise have local multiplayer?

We will run GRID, and you will even be able to play with a 360 controller - but it will be classed as a PC game ;) I have a 360 adaptor for my PC so you'll just be sat looking at it being prittier and on a bigger screen :P

Well after trying PGR4, it managed a whole 4 days before being sent back.

What a dated pile of .... that is?

I have played a few 'Re-Start' games in my time, but that one is probably close to the top of the pile.

Velcro car and wall, so even glancing off the walls reduces your speed to that of a mobility scooter.

Horrendous bike controls.

Silly and pointless arcade section, and when you enter the 'Main Mode' (what ever its called) you spend more time watching loading screens (and then reloading screens as you restart the same track for the 5th time)

Since the release of Burnout, Grid, Pro Driver even NFS undercover, this has dated very fast and is in short.

A Bunch Of Ar$e

lol, with regards to velco walls, don't hit them. I'm all for an arcade style game that actually promotes some semblance of decent driving and punishes the crap.

on the matter of bikes, yeah they're just a crappy gimmick, but i always knew they would be even before i bought it.
You're welcome.

Yeah I know, not hitting them is the aim of the game. but a mear glance off the wall, or clippping it slightly reduces your speed as though you have just a puncture on every wheel.

I was a major fan of it in the original Xbox, and loved playing on line (this as well as Rally Sport Challenge :-) ).

But this one :(
